It is a community oriented organization which promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics amongst the Hispanic community and is open to anyone who believes in its mission.

The organization relies on membership dues and donations, which include corporate gift matching by companies like Boeing and other local companies in Orange County.
How do you recognize the participation of volunteers and leaders?
The Chapter Awards Program recognizes the talent of volunteers and leaders in the chapter.
Do you have activities outside the Orange County?
Over 100 professionals from the different Southern California Chapters (both college and professional) attend the SHPE National Conference each year and on occasions the chapter sets special visits to a school(s) in across Greater Los Angeles Metro area.
Where does the chapter do its community outreach?
Community Outreach is typically organized with school administrators from local schools of all grades, community colleges, universities and occasionally in conjunction with community centers.
Who attends your networking events?
Networking events are open to the whole community, and there is typically a diverse mix of students from multiple universities and community colleges and professional members from various industries.
